Making assumptions kills sales

November 19th 2018, 9:22am

Making assumptions on actions that you take in your business, without analysing the results of those actions, may be holding you back from making sales.

Every marketing activity you undertake will produce a result - but it may not be the result you expected. Although we all would love immediate sales, we need to set realistic expectations of what we expect to get out of a marketing activity, (for example sending out a newsletter - how many opens, clicks, and enquiries happen as a result?), repeat those activities for enough time, analyse your data and then make an educated decision whether to repeat the activities.

Also, please don't assume that because you don't like something, everyone else is the same! Give people the opportunity to make their own decision.

Watch the video and listen to an assumption that I made and was proved wrong.
